A good protein diet combination should include animal and veggie protein combinations. You can alternate animal protein with dairy protein and veggie protein in breakfast, lunch or dinner taking one or two types of proteins in one meal. Onions are a very good source of Biotin. They are also a good source of Managanese, Vitamin B6, Copper, Vitamin C, dietary fiber, Phosphorus, Potassium, Folate and Vitamin B1.


Where I used to buy 1 or 2 kgs of onions per week, I have moved on to buying a 10 kg sack of onions as my experiment continues. My family members are again putting up with my trials. Even though it has a very strong smell, I have proved to my sons the benefit it has in treating acne. 


Treating ACNE


Onions are rich in Sulphur and Sulphur is a great remedy for treating infections. During my quest for home remedies for acne, this was the finest discovery. From then on, my sons haven't used any topical creams. They steam their face once a week and  apply a paste of baking soda and water. Once it is dry, the rinse it off. Every night, without fail, they have got into the habit of applying onion juice on their face. Wish I knew this while I was a teenager!!!


Hair Structure

Our hair grows from follicles in our skin. These follicles are pit-like structures that contain layers of cells that perform different functions. At the base of the follicle is the hair bulb, from which our hair actually grows. 

The colour of our hair is determined by a protein called melanin. There are two types of melanin: Eumelanin colours your hair brown to black and Pheomelanin turns it yellow-blond to red. The levels of these two kinds of melanin will determine the colour and shade of your hair.


The cells in our hair follicles that create melanin are called Melanocytes. When our hair turns grey, it means the melanocytes have stopped producing melanin. 

Grey hair linked to Hydrogen Peroxide build up

Grey hair, according to new findings, is caused by a massive build-up of Hydrogen peroxide due to wear and tear on hair follicles. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a by-product of respiration and is made in all living cells. The peroxide blocks the normal synthesis of melanin, your hair's natural pigment. All hair cells make a tiny bit of Hydrogen peroxide, but as you age, the amount increases. Essentially, you bleach your hair pigment from within, and your hair turns grey and then white. This build up was caused by a reduction of an enzyme that breaks up hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. Our body cells also make the enzyme Catalase to remove hydrogen peroxide. When our body is low in Catalase and high in  hydrogen peroxide, it disrupts the formation of Tyrosinase, another enzyme that leads to the production of melanin in hair follicles.  

Onion Juice and Catalase


Onion juice is rich in the enzyme Catalase and has been used for centuries as a topical treatment and home remedy for grey hair.  Research has shown that grey hair is caused by a build up of Hydrogen Peroxide and a decrease in the natural antioxidant Catalase. They also discovered that the enzyme Catalase neutralises Hydrogen peroxide and reverses grey hair. When a build up of Hydrogen Peroxide occurs at the hair follicles, it causes oxidative stress and results in greying and thinning of hair.


How to make Onion Juice



  • Juicer - I have a cold-pressed juicer and it makes juicing a very fine experience. Its just a few seconds job in the juicer. 
  • Blender - peel and cut the onions and blend it well in a small jar if you have one. Strain the mixture to get the juice. 
  • Grater - Peel and cut the onions. Grate them well and squeeze them to extract the juice. 

How to apply Onion Juice on Hair

Lightly massage the onion juice onto your scalp. This stimulates the hair follicles and allows for maximum absorption. Leave the onion juice on for about 30-40 minutes. By the end of 30 minutes, your feels as though they have been starched. It is absolutely normal to happen. Wash it off with a mild shampoo. I use my homemade shampoo.

I started applying Onion Juice on my head about 2 weeks ago. I have not been applying everyday.....guess should make it a daily practice. Patience is the key here.

A human being lives mostly in his past or in his future. He wanders with his heart in the valleys of green and dark ages where he was living. His heart makes him lost in the open-eyed dreams of future. Most of the time, he is not where he is actually.Human brain signals to the eyes and heart, and they fell in sorrows of the past or he opens the eyes wide to see the future images. How much work a single thought gives to the brain to do! Is he listening to his heart? Does he feel his heart alive? Is his brain signalling right to his heart?



I am watching a student in my brains' news channel! He has to give exam tomorrow. He is studying but his heart is racing with worry of future of examination. Ah! Poor child! Worrying about future. 

My brain took me to an old man. He is lying in the bed with crestfallen eyes, looking into his past where he lost the precious moments of his life teasing and pinching others, doing corruption and living for the lust of life, thinking it the utmost joy for his  heart."Time has passed, Old Adam! There is no comeback! You lost for the lust of future in your past; you are now losing the future remembering the lust of your past. You thought it the most joyous moment. Your heart was filled with imitation, not with joy. You are lost! Your heart is lost somewhere in the mist!  





My brain is now back to young guy, who is leaning over his exam notes , but wandering in the worries of future. " Where are you, young guy? Have you taken up your notes?" I am silently diving in his wandering mind to find out the pearl of his nature. ''Never look me back, never look me back", the eyes of old man begin tearing when life threatens him and his heart sinks. "Stop! Stop! Save me! Someone, save me!", the heart sinks. " Someone, call the ambulance please", the eyes shut  and heart sunk again. The young guy is still there with her. 





A luxury resort is  becomes visible  in sunken closed eyes where he is telling his newly introduced girl friend  how he earned the repute in global food chain. His eyes were sparkling on this brevity and he was feeling his heart rejoicing. He felt himself triumphant at red-tape files and bribery to the food inspection departments.  He has no woman by his side now.


Heart LostHe is remembering the time when a woman wanted his arms and the sincerity of his heart. He then remembered a woman who was so loving to him and wanted him so badly that she left her home only for him, not for his money. His thoughts took him to the moment when he tortured her and threw her with every true feeling in her heart.  He then suddenly burnt with tears when he remembered once he was a child. 
Old man dies with the his young past who took him to an awful future. Where is his present? Where is your present? Why do you want to keep  wandering like him? "How should I stop wandering?" you are inquiring helplessly.
