In the coastal region of West Virginia, a
psychiatrist reported a patient named Lucy Charlotte. Lucy's weight was the hot
story in the lane 21 of Westwood Rd. She began her journey of weight loss when
her husband invited his smart, gorgeous girlfriend at his house. He introduced
her wife to Kate, "Look, she is my big, fat wife". Lucy turned
red-faced with embarrassment on such comments she was not expecting. She kept on crying the whole night while her
husband had gone to drop her girlfriend at her home and had not come back till
the morning. She planned to initiate the dieting plan the same night.
Lucy Charlotte equipped her kitchen with all the
advertised soups, teas, and herbal medicines. She had never left any
advertisement of weight loss in newspapers, magazines, and brochures. She was
watching TV only to find the solution to her trouble. A month had passed and
nothing was working. She had lost energy to stand and work in the kitchen even
for an hour. In odd timings, she felt dizzy and slept on the couch in the
lounge while her 2-year child was just around her. The whole situation had made
her obsessed. One summer day, she was visiting a website with an advertisement
of a company, giving guaranteed weight loss plan in 20 days. She thought she will get her money back if
she doesn’t get results. The video advertisement infatuated her. She bought the
medicated formula which was in powdered form. She bought three jars and
continued for six months. To her surprise, the weight increased by 15 pounds in
six months. She called to the company representative. The person on the phone
told that no such company exists on that number.
